These are five photos of Indian River near Sitka, Alaska. They were all taken within one mile of each other, I spent an hour and a half playing around the river banks. Individually, they’re nothing spectacular, as most of my recent attempts at photography have been, but as a whole I thought they made a pleasing series. A polarizer and f11 was all that was needed to throw the shutter speeds into the seconds on this heavily overcast afternoon. One of these days I need to put together a series of the entire river. Covering the span of the river from the saltwater to its snow melt source.
Yes, I’m still alive, and I’m done with school now (wee!) and if I can put of not getting a job longer you guys should expect to see more hiking photos and such with my new 300d.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy this sampling of the Alaksan rainforest.
These do make a nice series. The arrangement flows well. They progress from energetic to downright serene. I really like the last one. It looks very relaxing.
I'm a dial-up user hehe...and it was REALLY worth the wait!! Amazing photographs !! I NEED to move to Alaska...right now!!
I love the way the water looks in these photographs...soft and beautiful. I really like the series As with everyone else, I love the bottom one most. The big trunk on the left almost looks as if it's someone's legs...like if they're sitting...and have their legs close to them...know what I mean? It looks as if they're dipping their toes into the water!
beautiful stuff as always! i love the colors (greens, greys and the white color the water provides)and the composition. but i cant help but feel the first (top) pic is too dark in places, i understand how and why but u know *shrugs*
i actually like the third one best, i think the grey color is wunderful and adds a uniqueness to it

Those are beautiful Walter I love the dark lush greens and the soft motion of the water. The first 2 are my favs, but it's a nice idea to put them all together like this.
Your stuff is really increadible. Alaska seems like it has a ton of good picture ops. Wish I had that.
I love the angles from which you shot these. The second and third ones in particular. Great shots.
well I still have dial-up, but it's worth the wait! I'm inspired, thank you. by the way, I think that each individual photo would have been great alone, but the series is even better. cheers.

We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
Have a great time everyone and please fav this article so as many people can see the featured works. I would recommend seeing each one and faving them too.
